We collaborated with a small team at Martha Stewart Living to create their first foray into digital publishing with Boundless Beauty. Featuring a pioneering ‘filmic’ magazine cover, Boundless Beauty gained the first digital award offered by the Society of Publication Designers—as well as recognition by Time Magazine’s coveted list of Top Ten Everything in 2010.

We designed and developed the Reader’s Digest app, integrating the plugin to launch the redesign across tablet, mobile, and the RD website.
Our plugin allows the agile team of Gather Journal to release their digital content simultaneous with print editions hitting the newsstand. The Gather App would go on to be featured on Apple’s App Store as one of the best-designed recipe apps available.
For startups, the app plugin facilitates the creation of fully functioning prototypes in a third of the time. For the Liqueur Cabinet, we designed and developed the first iteration of their app, enabling them to hit the ground running and secure the first round of funding in under three months.
The MIT News website features cutting edge work from one of the world’s most respected institutions. The homepage features local and global news stories, citing articles from The New York Times, BBC, and Reuters, where MIT work is featured. Analytics taught us that most traffic comes to the website organically (from links outside of MIT News), so with this strategic knowledge, combined with research into scrolling vs clicking user behavior, the website was designed to display the homepage and all its content at the bottom of each article, thereby increasing engagement.

With two new sections for recipes and travel, and curated content around events such as the Kentucky Derby or Thanksgiving, the Garden & Gun website delivers a finely tuned reading experience for their audience.

Tufts has an ever-growing network of alumni drawn from its multiple campuses—but printing costs had made the alumni magazine unviable. From an intuitive UX experience to immersive article title slides, and featuring specialized topics for new and evergreen content, the Tufts Alumni Magazine website allows the brand to reach an even broader audience of prestigious alumni and potential donors.
